Dear Colleagues,
This year’s conference theme, “Celebrating God’s Faithfulness,” has given me pause to reflect: Where have we seen the shaping hand of God in the New England District? What have been our defining moments? What lines have we drawn in the sand? Which of them have we crossed? Which still lie ahead? Where have we trusted God for the resolve to bring needed and lasting change?
Come to conference this year with a spirit of thankfulness as we gather to celebrate what God has accomplished through us in the past, what he is doing in our hearts in the present and what he will continue to do through us in the future.
Looking back, I can see progress, growth… in myself and in the District. What about you? What lines have you crossed? What defining moments are you prepared to celebrate?
I can think of no better way to prepare for electing a new superintendent, no better way to cross the threshold of time into a change in leadership than by celebrating the faithfulness and grace of God, the One who demands nothing more of us than that we love him with all of our heart, all of our soul, all of our mind, and all of our strength… and that we love our neighbor as we love ourselves.
Come and Join Us!
Richard Bush
